Q. In English class me and 3 other friends have to put a 5 minute skit together using her prompt. Her prompt is : make an ironic skit about a blind date (has to be original) and one of the dates is just learning how to drive! Can you please give me ideas that incorporates 4 people? Thanks!

If a blind date invited me to a really expensive restaurant is he planning on paying?
Q. I'm going on a blind date and he invited me to a restaurant where the entrees are $15-25. I really hate to spend that much money on food, but I didn't want to be like "ummm that's too expensive can we go somewhere else??" lol I'm 19 and he is 21. Since he asked me to an expensive restaurant would you assume he's planning on paying? Should I just offer to give the tip or something?

A. Ask them about their family; siblings and parents. Ask which one they are most like or get along with best. If they're dysfunctional, he may be, as well. Start joking about some silly relative in your family and ask if they have oddballs like that in their family, too. How they describe these people indicates tolerance or disgust. Ask them what their very first job was and how they liked it. I have always thought that the best thing to do is to ask where they went to high school and then check up on them later. Your high school experience is a pretty good indicator of what kind of person you'll be. It's ridiculously easy to contact someone in his class online and find out about him. Good luck!

A. There isn't any way to avoid hurting his feelings (unless he isn't interested in you either). The only thing you can do is be honest: "Hey look i'm sorry, you're cool and all but I just don't think we really fit well together." or "You're a perverted disgusting jerk and nobody will ever love you." You know... whichever is true.

A. Before I answer...good listening to Mr. Dangerous on your other post! It may not be Applebee's type atmosphere there...more like "The Sopranos" though but I've taken my wife many times to Emilia's Restaurant at 2331 Arthur Avenue. Excellent Italian food. Definitely feel at home there. No need to make reservations..just show up :) Afterwards, you HAVE to go into the Arthur Avenue Retail Market, just a few steps down across the street! You can see the freshest foods in there along with an area where they handmake cigars! And while you're at it, go pick up a cannoli at Egidio's Pastry (E. 187th & Hughes Avenue).

Is it time we scrapped all these boring reality-tv shows and brought back Blind Date ?
Q. regardless of whether you loved Blind Date or not, it'd be interesting to see how that show would do in this era. Yes...I'd love to see something like Blind Date come back but not with Denise Van Houton or Kelly Brook hosting...it would have to be our Cilla and the format should not be messed around with to modernise it in any way... Look away occasionally, but not at another good-looking man! If you're eating out, try to watch your table manners, but order something substantial! I can't emphasize this enough - guys roll their eyes when the girls only order salad and Pellegrino. A. If you still have feelings for your ex-wife, then you aren't ready to start dating. Try to put your self in this woman's place (the blind date). What if the situation was turned around? She wasn't over her ex and she started dating you. You fell for her, but she's still in love with her ex. Do you really think that would be fair to you? A. Don't even think about it as a date. Too much emphasis is put on the word 'date' and it become something more then it really is. Basically what you are doing is hanging out with a guy for a couple of hours. That doesn't mean you have to kiss him, hold his hand, or whatever else people expect on a 'date.' Go have fun and then call it a night. If you decide to hang out again good for you. If not, then you had a fun night (hopefully) and it wasn't meant to be. Good luck.

A. The average blind date lasts 7 minutes, so your aim is to beat that! Think of some questions before you go that will allow him to open up to you. Try to make these open questions, not yes or no answers. Some examples are: - What do you like to do in your spare time? (explores his interests and hobbies - observes how much you have in common) - Do you have any current aspirations or goals? - Have you seen any good movies lately? Ask him about his past and laugh about how you guys got together on this blind date (who hooked you up etc) Try not to be nervous, just keep that conversation flowing so it doesn't get awkward and silent.
