Every time I ask a question on here, I get at least a few answers to the effect of "how can you read this if you're blind" or "you're too literate to be blind" or even "You can't be blind; you type too well". Why do people think just because I or others are blind, we can't access the computer? There are blind doctors, lawyers, teachers, government officials, and more, and they think these people never use the computer? My counselor through the Department of the Blind is himself totally blind, too. I know of at least pone person on here who is deafblind, and JAWS always so many people to use the computer, not to mention the text-to-Braille feature of JAWS allowing deafblind people to use the computer. When you can see you can't imagine how it is to be blind and you can't imagine how you'd cope without your sight. I think the problem is that most people don't get to interact with blind people regularly because the visually impaired have different learning needs and are schooled separately. Because of this we don't know know exactly how you accomplish tasks without your sight because we've never had to. I think it's people like you who can educate us.
